Sonia Pang’s career started during the ‘handover’ of Hong Kong to China in 1997, exhibiting two solo shows of portraiture, documenting a reunion with her late Mother’s Chinese family after 21 years.
Upon returning to London, Sonia’s career evolved into film and video, regularly editing and directing music videos for production companies and record labels.
After the turn of the millennia, Sonia began to increasingly employ her original core creativity of drawing within her video work, through self-taught animation, leading to a MA scholarship in Traditional Animation at Central St.Martin's School of Art. Within a decade Sonia had become a freelance animation director, involved in directing promos and rebranding for diverse organisations such as Turner Kid’s Channels, UEFA and Human Rights Watch.
