Many moons ago…
My Dad (and creative mentor really), gave me a ‘Walt Disney Movie Player’ on my 6th birthday. Not only did it capture my heart and imagination with the magic of still images coming to life through the simple turning of a spool in slow motion, sped up, backwards or forwards, but it was the very idea that something as simple and accessible as a sketch could transform you into a magical moving world of stories.
Four decades later, I am very grateful to mentors including Sam Harris, Dominic Leung, Garth Jennings, Andrew Preece, Elliott Chaffer, Luke Hall, Michael Dudok Du Wit, Hibbert Ralph, Rita Osei (and my dear husband Siri Narasimham, for his continuous encouragement and business sense are unmatched!), that enabled me to become an academically trained artist, film maker and animator that creates and delivers to a diverse range of cross-platform disciplines, from commercials, music videos, branded entertainment and social content, for national and international clients…
And so the intrigue continues, as my sons of 4 and 7 begin to share similar interests… how can I plant similar seeds of inspiration for them?
